Formed in the Sheffield spring of 2011; amidst decaying structures, psychic recordings and wafts of something “new”, Trans/Human sought to reflect both their informal musical education and their penchant for a strobing sonic and visual experience. An attempt to create something evolving and immersive utilising high volume guitar feedback manipulations and blood ritual drum exorcisms, ensued.
2012 saw Luke Twyman and Adam Denton’s collaboration move physically closer together with the introduction of transgressive instrumental techniques, surgical microphone placings and increased strobal intensity.
Employing several noise making devices and techniques in their performances, including mobile phones, radio, cassette tape, prepared electric guitar, processed drums, strobe lighting, contact microphones, field recordings and feedback systems, Trans/Human's concerns lie within the physical act of music making and its relationship to environment and audience.
This self titled tape is their most recent work, consisting of two live performances.
